As Russia attempts to manipulate the media, a Scottish radio producer fights back, getting herself noticed. Against her best intentions, she falls in love with a Russian diplomat tasked with delivering Scotland into Moscow’s hands. As the country progresses to the brink of war, her love affair leads her to pit herself against a Russia heading towards winter and tests her belief in the man she loves.
Told from the point of view of a young woman, Russian Doll explores the conflicts that can arise when love and politics come into conflict.

WOMANKIND BEAUTY presents - The Charity Crystal Ball
Womankind Beauty are honoured to present this with their co-host venue, Edinburgh Corn Exchange to celebrate their 15th year in business and raise money for two charities very close to their hearts, Maggies Centres and Simba.
We are very grateful that Stockbridge Local have agreed to sponsor our event and will be there to capture the night.
Womankind would be grateful to have as many clients, friends and family there and any donations or prizes would be greatly appreciated.
Womankind have had a very traumatic 18 months in the salon with the loss of one of Patrycja’s (one of Womankind's team) husband to cancer leaving her to start life as a family of 3 with 2 young children. She has spoken so highly of Maggies and how supportive they are. They don’t just help the people with cancer but anyone who is affected by it.
Tragically, an other member of staff, Tegan, lost her baby girl, Lottie, late on in pregnancy. Simba has been there all the way for Tegan and her husband and helped to provide special memories. Simba also fund rooms in the hospital for parents to spend time with their little angels.
Womankind promise this is going to be a great night with live entertainment from Jools Holland’s Jam House resident band “The Black Beez”. These guys know how to party and are the chosen after party entertainment for the European Rugby Champions Cup final.
Instapic Photo Booths will be joining us to have some fun.
Radio's ‘Big Al’ will be hosting the event and presenting the charity auction with some amazing prizes in our grand raffle.
Womankind hope to see you there.

Two portions a week
Due to the large numbers of essential nutrients contained in fish and shellfish, many experts recommend that we try to eat at least two portions of seafood every week.
This recommendation has been made by the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN), which advises the Food Standards Agency (FSA). The SACN also suggested that at least one of our weekly portions of seafood should be oil-rich, such as trout, mackerel or herring.
