Susannah’s suggested route was bang on 5km by chance
On 10 February there was an incredible turnout for Joe Wick’s 5km Monday morning 5km meet up at 6.30am in Charlotte Square, while stopping in Edinburgh on his UK tour.
He turned up looking for suggestions of a 5km route and of course Stockbridge Local founder Susannah shouted out Inverleith Park.
So the 300 runners from Edinburgh and surround set off downhill in the dark for the Inverleith Park, and had a stunning view of Edinburgh Castle in the morning light.
Joe’s energy was contagious and the atmosphere was electric with females and males of all ages, including children as young as five and a woman pushing her daughter in a specialised wheelchair, with one kind woman helping her on up Gloucester Lane on the home stretch.
